Job summary

Republic Bank Of Chicago is seeking an Associate Banker I in the Retail- Oakbrook area. You will be the first sales and service contact for clients, performing teller duties and opening/servicing accounts while building relationships.

You will establish new and existing customer connections through referrals, work to meet sales targets, and uphold professional standards in a busy retail branch environment in Chicago.

Qualifications

• Extensive cash handling experience.
• Basic computer skills to operate banking software and POS systems.
• Extensive contact with the public necessitating a professional appearance and communication.
• Ability to read and write well enough to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Knowledge of banking policies, procedures and regulations.
• Ability to take initiative and exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
• Demonstrated sales initiative to cross-sell bank products and services.
• Flexibility in scheduling to cover branch hours and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily branch responsibilities including account transactions, maintenance, customer correspondence, balancing, and cash handling.
• Cross-sell bank products and services to customers as per branch goals.
• Maintain balancing records and correct outages with guidance as needed.
• Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers and escalate issues when necessary.
• Follow branch policies, procedures, regulations, and confidentiality requirements.
• Address customer problems with professionalism and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Communicate openly with branch team members and participate in promotions and events.
• Represent the bank in the community and maintain a professional image.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
