Job summary

Greater Texas | Aggieland Credit Union is seeking a Branch Associate II in Austin to deliver outstanding member experiences. You’ll conduct in-depth financial conversations, handle complex member needs, and support branch sales goals in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll participate in coaching peers, maintain compliance, and help grow consumer lending and digital banking services while contributing to the community presence at Mopac and surrounding branches.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; previous branch experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and provide trusted financial guidance.
  • Strong communication, cash handling, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and maintain a top-tier member experience across in-branch, drive-thru, phone, and digital channels.
  • Build lasting member relationships through meaningful financial needs discussions.
  • Identify opportunities to meet deposits, lending, investments, and other Credit Union solutions.
  • Support branch leadership and coach junior teammates to uphold service standards.
  • Process transactions accurately and assist with notary and regulatory requirements.

The Basics of a Branch Associate II
  • Weekly schedules will be set between the hours of Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 5:30pm.
  • Rotating Saturdays from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm at our Mopac Branch ( 12319 N Mopac Expressway, Austin, TX 78758)
What you'll do as a Branch Associate II

The Branch Associate II serves as a trusted financial partner to members and a subject matter resource within the branch. This role builds upon the Branch Associate I position by conducting deeper financial needs assessments, handling complex member relationships, supporting consumer and business account growth, and serving as a peer coach to branch team members. The Branch Associate II plays a key role in fostering a relationship-based sales culture while delivering exceptional member experiences and supporting branch performance goals.

Duties and Responsibilities
Member Experience & Relationship Building
  • Deliver and maintain a Top-Tier member experience through every interaction, whether in person, drive-thru, over the phone, or through digital channels.
  • Build strong member relationships by conducting meaningful financial conversations to understand members' financial needs, goals, and life events.
  • Utilize advanced profiling and needs-discovery techniques to identify opportunities that improve members' financial well-being.
  • Handle escalated member concerns and complex service situations utilizing sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and a member-focused approach.
  • Take ownership of member issues through resolution while balancing member experience, risk management, and operational requirements.
  • Serve as a role model for delivering exceptional member experiences and relationship-building behaviors.
Sales & Business Development
  • Contribute to and support a relationship-based sales culture by consistently identifying opportunities to deepen member relationships.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial conversations to uncover needs related to deposits, lending, investments, insurance, and other Credit Union solutions.
  • Consistently achieve individual sales, referral, lending, membership growth, and member engagement goals.
  • Educate members on the benefits of Credit Union products, services, and digital solutions while providing recommendations aligned with member needs.
  • Generate quality referrals to internal specialists and business partners including Mortgage, Consumer Lending, Investments, Insurance, and other financial services.
  • Support branch leadership in achieving branch sales and growth objectives.
  • Participate in community outreach, networking, volunteer, and business development activities that strengthen relationships and expand Credit Union reach.
  • Open and service consumer and business accounts including savings, checking, money market accounts, certificates, IRAs, HSAs, debit cards, and specialty deposit products.
  • Process secured and unsecured lending applications and assist members throughout the lending process.
  • Maintain proficiency in all member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, account maintenance, and operational transactions.
  • Assist members with digital banking enrollment, mobile banking, online banking, debit card activation, and other self-service tools.
  • Promote digital solutions that improve member convenience and engagement.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Serve as a trusted resource and subject matter expert for Branch Associate I team members.
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and development of new team members.
  • Reinforce branch procedures, service standards, sales behaviors, and compliance expectations through coaching and peer support.
  • Provide guidance and support during complex member interactions and operational situations.
  • Assist branch leadership with workflow coordination and daily operational execution.
  • Participate in candidate interviews, talent development activities, and succession planning efforts as assigned.
  • Model the Credit Union's ICARE Values and support a positive, collaborative, and accountable branch culture.
Operations & Compliance
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of Credit Union products, services, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with branch operational responsibilities including vault management, overrides, balancing functions, opening procedures, and closing procedures as assigned.
  • Obtain and maintain Notary Public certification.
  • Adhere to all security, fraud prevention, BSA/AML, OFAC, Member Identification Program, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Remain vigilant for suspicious activity and elevate concerns in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support operational excellence by identifying process improvement opportunities and helping maintain branch efficiency and accuracy.
  • Complete all required compliance, operational, sales, and professional development training.
Culture & Teamwork
  • Support a positive, member-focused, and sales-oriented branch culture.
  • Embrace change and support organizational initiatives designed to improve member experience, operational effectiveness, and organizational growth.
  • Demonstrate accountability for personal performance and contribute to overall branch success.
  • Actively participate in community involvement and volunteer opportunities through the Greater Good Program.

Requirements
Must Haves as a Branch Associate II
