Job summary

Greater Texas | Aggieland Credit Union is seeking a Branch Operations Supervisor in Austin to lead daily branch operations, coach staff, and deliver top-tier member experiences.

You will collaborate with leadership to hire and develop talent, manage schedules, and uphold our culture of excellence across branch activities.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2+ years of credit union or banking experience in a branch operations role.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily branch operations and lead Branch Associates and Tellers to achieve branch goals.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager to attract, hire, coach, and engage team members.
• Serve as a culture agent, reinforcing mission, vision, and core values.
• Coordinate scheduling, time-off requests, performance coaching, and daily workflow.
• Act as Branch Manager in their absence and audit safety deposits and transactions.

The Basics of a Branch Operations Supervisor:

• Status: Full-Time, Exempt Role
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:30 PM, with rotating Saturdays 8:30 AM-1:30 PM at our Mopac Branch.
• Flexibility: Required for business needs, events, and occasional extended hours

What You'll Do As A Branch Operations Supervisor:

In partnership with Branch Operations leadership, you will oversee daily branch operations and lead Branch Associates and Tellers to achieve branch goals.

• Collaborate with the Branch Manager to attract, hire, coach, and engage team members.
• Serve as a culture agent, reinforcing our mission, vision, and core values.
• Partner with team members to support career path development.
• Manage scheduling, time-off requests, performance coaching, and daily workflow.
• Stay actively engaged with the team to maintain a pulse on branch activities.

Branch Operations Leadership:

• Support Branch Manager in achieving branch goals.
• Be a subject matter expert in branch operations with emphasis on fraud and loss mitigation.
• Conduct periodic audits of safety deposit boxes and spot audits of transactions.
• Recommend process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs.
• Assist team members in resolving complex member issues.
• Coordinate volunteer events to expand Credit Union reach.
• Act as Branch Manager in their absence.

Other Duties:

• Comply with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering, and Member Due Diligence Procedures.
• Complete compliance and career development training as assigned.
• Act as a Notary Public and provide Medallion Signature Guarantee services when needed.
• Lead and delegate special projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must Haves as a Branch Operations Supervisor:

• Skills: Servant Leadership, Relationship Building, Exceptional Verbal & Written Communication, Complex Problem Solving, Coaching & Upskilling.
• Experience: 2+ years of credit union or banking experience in a branch operations role.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
