Job summary

Boston Freightliner in Brockton, MA is seeking a Parts Department Supervisor to lead daily operations, manage staff, and ensure accurate parts inventory and timely order fulfillment.

You will focus on improving efficiency, resolving vendor and customer issues, and upholding high service standards while following company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years’ experience in heavy-duty truck parts preferred.
• Supervisory experience.
• Teamwork qualities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Sends return parts to vendors to obtain credit and issues Return Goods Memo.
• Assists in running department efficiently and monitors inventory levels.
• Identifies CORE parts and keeps stock current to minimize obsolescence.
• Develops strategies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Supervises reconciliation of cashier drawers and petty cash.
• Maintains strong vendor relationships and excellent customer rapport.

Job description

• Sends return parts to vendors to obtain credit.
• Issues Return Goods Memo
• Assists in running department efficiently.
• Identifies and classifies CORE parts that are difficult for others
• Assists in monitoring and maintaining current levels of inventory
• Assists in developing strategies for more efficient operations
• Assist in supervising reconciliation of cashier drawers and petty cash
• Assists in monitoring and adjusting inventory to minimize obsolescence

Personnel

• Motivates, trains, schedules, evaluates, coaches and counsels employees
• Communicates job expectations and monitor progress
• Appraise and review job contributions
• Conducts meetings with employees to discuss activities and problems
• Develops, enforces and monitors guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
• Enforces policies and procedures

Customer Service

• Communicate customer service standards to department personnel
• Resolves customer complaints immediately and provide conflict resolution to customers according to company guidelines

Required Qualifications
