Job summary

KCC Companies in Louisville, KY is looking for a Brake Press Operator to set up and operate a CNC brake press, bending sheet metal to drawings. You will read part drawings and use calipers, micrometers, and other devices to confirm tolerances, while maintaining safety and efficiency on the shop floor.

The role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, perform basic machine maintenance, and work as part of a dedicated team. Competitive benefits and ESOP participation are offered on-site.

Qualifications

• Metal forming training/apprenticeship required.
• Ability to use common measuring equipment for sheet metal.
• Capable of reading part drawings and tolerances.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brake press to bend sheet metal to drawing specifications.
• Utilize measuring devices such as protractor, vernier calipers, micrometer, thickness gauge, machinist square to verify accuracy.
• Knowledge of press brake operation and material limitations.
• Perform operator daily maintenance of machine and tooling as required.
• Shall be responsible for setting up press brake tooling and programming CNC operation.
• Follow safety policies and ensure safe handling of heavy machinery.
