Thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Inc. in Santa Teresa, NM is seeking a Brake Press Operator on 3rd shift to safely set up and operate brake press equipment to form metal parts according to customer specs.

You will read work orders and blueprints, inspect finished pieces, use measuring tools, and maintain a clean, safe work area while supporting lean manufacturing initiatives and productive teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of brake press, machine operation, or metal fabrication experience.
• Experience using measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust brake press equipment to bend and form metal components.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
• Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Safely operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Identify and report quality, equipment, or safety concerns.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
