Thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Inc. is hiring for a CNC operator on the second shift in the United States. The role involves operating CNC equipment, monitoring speeds and feeds, and inspecting parts using calipers and micrometers.

You will perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance while ensuring safety on a busy warehouse floor. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and 2–4 years in a related position is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job SummaryConducts and operates computer numeric controlled (CNC) equipment for an organization.Job DescriptionWe are hiring on 2nd shift starting at $23.08 per hourKey Accountabilities:Performs precision tool machining operations through monitoring feed rates, speed, and special instruments.Conducts inspections through the utilization of measuring instruments that provide for accuracy.Uses calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and scales.Troubleshoots malfunctions by editing specifications and ensuring maintenance of machines.Continuously performs preventative maintenance, which includes cleaning and maintaining safe workspaces.Meets the organizational production goals including cycle time, quantity, and quality to enhance machining excellence.Utilizes blueprints and dimensions, machine instructions, and special project guidelines.May have working knowledge of programming CNC machines to ensure proper calculations, parameters, and other conditional requirements are met.Performs work under general supervision.Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate groupThis is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes / CompetenciesThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirement for the performance of this job.
