A strong mechanical aptitude, blueprints literacy, and measuring tool proficiency are essential to ensure high-quality parts in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have prior brake press experience, be able to read technical drawings, and perform tooling changes, offsets, and minor program edits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating brake press equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools.
• Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal and plate to required dimensions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and shop drawings.
• Select tooling and machine settings for each job.
• Measure, inspect, and verify part dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Perform machine adjustments, offsets, and program edits as needed to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Follow established SOPs and safety requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Complete additional production duties as assigned.
