Brake Press / Laser Machine Operator 1st Shift

Fleet Engineers, part of the Tramec Sloan family with facilities nationwide, is seeking a dedicated Full-Time 1st shift Brake Press / Laser Machine Operator in Muskegon, MI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up machines by replacing gearing, cutters, and tooling
• Use small hand tools for setup and preventative maintenance
• Use calipers, mics, measuring fixtures, and gauges
• Ensure proper placement of stock on machine holding rack
• Remove stock from table and assemble components in welding fixture
• Remove welded parts, place into bender, and handle tubes
• Activate machines via dual control buttons
• Program machines for various cutting operations
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2-3 years of experience specifically on brake presses and laser machines, or equivalent education and experience
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic math skills
