Description

Tramec Sloan and Fleet Engineers is a renowned leader in the heavy-duty automotive industry, dedicated to delivering high-quality products to our valued customers. Due to exciting growth, we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Brake Press / Laser Machine Operator to join our innovative and driven team.

Our location in Muskegon, MI is looking for a Full-Time 1st shift (M - F, 6am - 2:30pm) Press Brake / Laser Machine Operator.

Requirements

This position is responsible for running and setting up a variety of equipment in the Tech Cell which includes Press Brake; Laser and Buffalo Rolls machine.

1. Aligns parts or positions them against fixtures on a machine.
2. Stacks, racks, wraps, counts component or finished goods for placement onto skids.
3. Inspects parts according to requirements.
4. Use of calipers, tape measure, measuring fixtures and gauges.
5. Ability to use computer to log production documentation into Epicor software.
6. Ability to set-up and program Press Brakes, CNC Milling Machines, Fiber Optic Lasers & Rolls Equipment.
7. Ability to troubleshoot and make machine adjustments to assure dimensional compliance of parts.
8. Maintain production rate numbers and perform machine change overs in the appropriate time.
9. Familiar with working with a variety of materials including Steel, Galvanized Steel, Aluminum & Stainless.

Skills/Qualifications

1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. 3+ years manufacturing experience on Press Brakes, Lasers and CNC Milling Machines.
3. Computer data entry
4. Able to safely lift and handle up to 50 pounds overhead.
5. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and able to read blueprints.
