Description

Fleet Engineers, located in Muskegon, Michigan, part of the Tramec Holdings family with facilities across the United States, is seeking a Brake Press / Laser Machine Operator. Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (hours may vary).

Position Summary: Responsible for operating and setting up equipment such as Press Brake, Laser, and Buffalo Rolls machine in the Tech Cell.

Essential Job Duties:

• Align and position parts against fixtures on machines.
• Stack, rack, wrap, and count components or finished goods for shipment.
• Inspect parts to meet requirements.
• Use calipers, tape measures, gauges, and measuring fixtures.
• Log production data into Epicor software.
• Set up and program Press Brakes, CNC Milling Machines, Fiber Optic Lasers, and Rolls Equipment.
• Troubleshoot and adjust machines to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain production rates and perform changeovers efficiently.
• Work with materials like Steel, Galvanized Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of manufacturing experience with Press Brakes, Lasers, and CNC Milling Machines.
• Computer data entry skills.
• Ability to safely lift and handle up to 50 pounds overhead.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
