Brake Press / Laser Machine Operator 1st Shift

Tramec Sloan and Fleet Engineers is a renowned leader in the heavy-duty automotive industry, dedicated to delivering high-quality products to our valued customers. Due to exciting growth, we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Brake Press / Laser Machine Operator to join our innovative and driven team.

Our location in Muskegon, MI is looking for a Full-Time 1st shift (M - F, 6am - 2:30pm) Press Brake / Laser Machine Operator.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment in the Tech Cell, including Press Brake, Laser, and Buffalo Rolls machine.
• Align parts against fixtures on the machine.
• Stack, rack, wrap, and count components or finished goods for placement onto skids.
• Inspect parts according to requirements using calipers, tape measure, gauges, and measuring fixtures.
• Log production data into Epicor software.
• Set up and program Press Brakes, CNC Milling Machines, Fiber Optic Lasers, and Rolls Equipment.
• Troubleshoot and adjust machines to ensure dimensional compliance.
• Maintain production rates and perform machine changeovers efficiently.
• Work with various materials including Steel, Galvanized Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience with Press Brakes, Lasers, and CNC Milling Machines.
• Proficiency in computer data entry.
• Ability to safely lift and handle up to 50 pounds overhead.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
