Job summary

ITT Inc. is seeking a Brake Dynamometer Test Technician to support the setup and execution of dynamometer brake tests within R&D and OE projects. The role ensures accurate execution and reporting of results, underpinning product development and customer support. A midnight shift is required.

The technician will work with a multi-functional Research & Development team, performing test configurations, maintenance, and data collection to improve performance and reliability of braking systems.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal/communication skills are essential.
• Self-starter capable of working in teams or independently.
• Preference for a hands-on approach in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong MS Office skills are required.
• Minimum education: technical school (AA desired) or equivalent.
• Precision and attention to detail are critical.
• Practical experience with general testing equipment and data acquisition tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate Link Software and test lab equipment, support builds and tear down dynamometer test configurations, ensure tests run to the proper parameters.
• Prepare test samples and hardware, and perform initial, intermediate and final measurements on tested components.
• Assist with internal fabrication projects (e.g. dyno fixtures).
• Support VLM management.
• Perform preventative maintenance for dyno lab equipment and tools.
• Support shipping/receiving of testing components and office supplies.
• Support laboratory process flow and scheduling.
• Help maintain a safe and organized work environment
