Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking an Automotive Brake Dynamometer Supervisor to lead daily dynamometer testing operations and ensure safe, accurate results. You will supervise test personnel, coordinate resources, and work with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver reliable test outcomes.

The role requires extensive brake testing experience, leadership ability, and strong data analysis skills, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/automotive engineering or equivalent experience required.
• 10+ years automotive brake testing or dynamometer lab experience.
• 2+ years supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Strong knowledge of brake systems, friction materials, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise brake dynamometer technicians, test engineers, and lab staff.
• Plan, schedule, and prioritize testing per project timelines.
• Review test requests, procedures, and acceptance criteria before testing.
• Ensure equipment, instrumentation, and data systems are operational and calibrated.
• Oversee testing of disc/brake components and related materials.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and lab improvements.
• Train, coach, and evaluate laboratory personnel.
• Promote safety culture and proper handling of high-temp and rotating equipment.
• Support audits, customer visits, and technical reviews.
• Analyze test data, prepare technical reports and presentations.
