Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service brake, alignment, and suspension components and to provide top-notch customer support. The role includes battery testing, tire and TPMS work, and road-service assignments as needed.

This position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to company policies. Training is provided on the job, and compensation reflects the Utah market.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and standing.
• Comfort with using tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment, drivetrain and power steering parts.
• Test and install batteries.
• Dismount and remount tire and wheel assemblies, rebalance wheels, and calibrate TPMS components.
• Use equipment and hand tools.
• Assist other employees.
• Test drive vehicles.
• Operate service vehicles for offsite and emergency road service.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Refer customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Job Description: Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components


• Testing and installing batteries


• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components


• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools


• Assisting other employees


• Test driving vehicles


• Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services


• Provides excellent customer service


• Refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary

Experience

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Qualifications
