Les Schwab Tire Centers in Draper, UT is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service and install brake, alignment, and suspension components. You will test batteries, rotate tires, rebalance wheels, and calibrate TPMS while using a variety of hand tools and equipment.

The role emphasizes great customer service, quick service in a fast-paced shop, and collaboration with teammates. Training is provided on the job to develop skills in brakes, alignment, and related systems.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment components.
• Test and install batteries.
• Dismount/mount tires, rebalance wheels, and recalibrate TPMS components.
• Use service equipment and hand tools.
• Assist other team members and test drive vehicles.
• Operate service vehicles for offsite or emergency road calls.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers as needed.

Job Description: Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components


• Testing and installing batteries


• Dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components


• Using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools


• Assisting other employees


• Test driving vehicles


• Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services


• Provides excellent customer service


• Refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary

Experience

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license


• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment


• Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds


• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing
