Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital seeks a Rehabilitation Nurse Technician (RNT) for the Two East brain injury unit. The role supports daily living activities, mobility, and therapy readiness under RN supervision, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.

The RNT collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, handles routine tasks, and participates in quality improvement while delivering compassionate care to adults and children in a rehabilitative setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current CNA certification or enrollment in RN program with two clinical rotations completed.
• CPR certification required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility under RN supervision.
• Monitor vitals and document clinical observations.
• Support nutritional needs and assist with feeding as ordered.
• Assist with transfers and use of assistive devices.
• Prepare patient rooms and maintain a safe environment.
• Participate in bedside handoff and team communication.
