Job summary

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, a valid Texas teacher certification, and specialized certification as an Educator of the Visually Impaired. The successful candidate will engage actively with students across multiple settings within the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and valid Texas teacher certifications are required.
• Must possess excellent skills in braille and related pedagogy.
• Experience working with students with visual impairments is essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach Braille to students, focusing on literacy and life skills.
• Provide direct and consultative services for visually impaired students.
• Assist with IEP development and support to enhance educational outcomes.

Excellent command of UEB Braille and Nemeth code

Knowledge of braille pedagogy
