You'll install and maintain server and network gear, perform cabling, monitor environmental systems, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams. The role requires 3+ years in data center operations, strong documentation skills, and ability to lift 50+ lbs. This is a freelance, on-site position with standard hours and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience.
• Expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments.
• Knowledge of power distribution and UPS systems.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Vendor certifications (Dell, HPE, Cisco) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber).
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain asset documentation and inventory.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Support capacity planning and upgrades.
