Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Coaching experience preferred.
• Follows district policies and supervision guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Holds team meetings to recruit and motivate student athletes.
• Assesses players’ skills and assigns positions.
• Develops and schedules practice sessions for individual and team improvement.
• Works with athletics leadership to schedule facilities for practices and games.
• Coaches players on rules, equipment and techniques of the sport.
• Observes players to identify needs for improvement and adjusts coaching accordingly.
• Determines game strategy based on team capabilities and opponent analysis.
• Maintains student behavior standards and supervises athletes during activities.
• Monitors academic performance to ensure eligibility and encourage scholastic achievement.
• Communicates with parents/guardians about athletic performance when needed.
• Adheres to district, state and regional athletic program regulations.
