The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a part-time Box Truck Driver for local routes and surrounding areas. This role involves driving a Salvation Army truck to pickups and deliveries, following scheduled routing procedures, and ensuring the safe handling of donated items.

You will perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain equipment, and comply with DOT and OSHA regulations while representing The Salvation Army with professionalism and donor-focused service.

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Job Type: Part-time, Regular

Schedule: 25 hours per week, M-F, some weekends possible

You'll represent The Salvation Army with professionalism, provide outstanding donor service, and ensure the safe and efficient transportation of donated items that support our mission.

What You'll Do

Transportation & Logistics

• Follow scheduled routing procedures efficiently
• Drive Salvation Army truck for pickups and deliveries
• Ensure security and safe handling of all goods and materials
• Perform daily pre- & post-trip inspections of vehicles
• Maintain equipment in excellent working order
• Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations
• Train and Certify New Production Assistants/Drivers

Customer Service

• Act as a personal representative of The Salvation Army
• Ensure all donors are treated courteously and respectfully
• Communicate donation acceptance policy with donors
• Report any pickup problems to dispatcher
• Maintain professional appearance per ARC dress code

Operations Support

• Use DSS program and assigned iPad apps effectively
• Support beneficiaries in work therapy goals through training and mentoring
• Handle loading and unloading of trucks as needed
• Wear all assigned PPE including gloves, masks, and back guard
• Report any safety or security concerns immediately
