Job summary

Great Lakes Petroleum Co. in Akron, Ohio seeks a CDL driver to deliver lubricant bulk products to customer sites daily. You will maintain logs, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA rules.

Local routes, home daily, with overtime opportunities and comprehensive benefits. Must have a valid CDL (Class A or B) with a tanker endorsement, a clean driving record, and the ability to meet all safety and drug-testing requirements.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Must possess and maintain a valid tanker endorsement.
• Driving record must meet company and insurance standards.
• Must pass a DOT-required pre-employment drug test and FMCSA medical qualification.
• Demonstrate professional, courteous customer service to customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Making deliveries of Lubricant bulk products to customer sites in compliance with state and federal regulations and all company operational and safety policies and procedures.
• Maintaining truck and delivery logs in compliance with state and federal regulations; conduct required pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Communicating customer needs and inquiries to appropriate departments for follow up.
• Preforming duties until route is complete with occasional out of town travel.
• Performing other related duties, tasks and responsibilities in warehouse and driving as required, assigned or requested.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Quarterly safety bonuses (eligible after 120 days of employment).
• Monthly performance bonus based on gallons delivered (eligible after 120 days of employment).

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required for the position.

• Must have a driving record that meets the Company's driver qualification standards and applicable insurance eligibility requirements.
• Must successfully complete a Department of Transportation (DOT)-required pre-employment drug test in accordance with applicable federal regulations.
• Must meet and maintain all applicable DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) medical qualification requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
• Will be subject to DOT/FMCSA-required random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with applicable federal regulations.
