Job summary

Great Lakes Petroleum Co. seeks a CDL driver in Youngstown, OH to deliver petroleum products to company sites and customers, loading and unloading safely.

You will operate trucks per policy, perform daily safety inspections, handle paperwork, and coordinate with dispatch.

Requirements include a valid Class A or B CDL with clean MVR, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, TWIC card, and DOT drug screening.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with clean MVR and DOT medical card.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• TWIC card required.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT-regulated drug screen.
• Prior fuel truck driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload petroleum products following regulations.
• Safely operate trucks according to company policies and laws.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform safety inspections daily.
• Check oil, water, fuel, tires and tank items as part of daily duties.
• Complete and transmit all paperwork per procedures.
• Coordinate with dispatchers daily.

Description

This position is responsible for the proper and efficient completion of assigned duties and operation of their vehicle. Drivers are responsible for delivering petroleum products to company owned sites and customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks with petroleum products adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.
• Safely operates trucks according to Company policies and state/federal laws.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and performs safety inspections on trucks, equipment and/or facilities as required by Company policy.
• Maintains miscellaneous service duties such as checking oil, water, fuel, tires and tank related items on a daily basis.
• Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established Company procedures.
• Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers on a daily basis.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Class A or Class B CDL with clean MVR.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements REQUIRED.

• Prior fuel truck driver experience PREFERRED.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment DOT-regulated drug screen.
• Must meet and maintain DOT and FMCSA physical and medical requirements.
• Subject to quarterly random drug screens per FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Excellent customer service demeanor.
• Must be available to work weekends, if necessary.
