Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) is seeking a Box Office Supervisor to oversee daily ticketing operations, train staff, and cover shifts when the manager is away. This role involves processing ticket sales via Ticketmaster and Universe, maintaining accurate cash handling, and ensuring policy compliance at the box office.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a box‑office setting or similar is required.
• Previous experience supervising teams is preferred.
• Ability to perform effectively under stressful situations.
• Ability to define, analyze, and solve problems.
• Ability to coordinate box‑office procedures with other staff.
• Ability to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Skilled in operating modern office equipment, including computers.

Responsibilities

• Training part‑time box‑office staff.
• Maintaining daily records of ticketing sales transactions, including but not limited to daily sales, deposits, and cash.
• Managing the box‑office window and phones during given shifts.
• Utilizing the Ticketmaster and Universe ticketing systems to process ticket sales.
• Assisting in the enforcement of building policies for patrons.
• Handle difficult situations with courtesy and tact when dealing with the public and promoters.
• Maintain an effective working relationship with other staff, event promoters, and the general public.
