Job summary

NAVSTA Mayport in Jacksonville, FL, Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department seeks a maintenance worker to provide minor repair and conditioning to the bowling facility and its equipment, ensuring safe operation and reliable lane performance.

The successful candidate will have manual dexterity to adjust machinery, the ability to operate heavy power equipment and common hand tools, perform light preventive maintenance on lanes and equipment, and assist customers with automatic scoring systems.

Job description

This position is located in the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department, Naval Air Station Mayport The primary purpose of this position is to provide minor repair and conditioning to the bowling facility and its equipment.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

• Must have manual dexterity necessary to make minor corrective adjustments to machinery and replace fixtures.
• Ability to operate, control, and clean heavy power equipment and to work safely with heavy tools.
• Skill in the use of common hand tools and ability to perform limited preventive maintenance such as cleaning and oiling equipment and conditioning lane surfaces.
• Ability to use common cleaning materials and equipment and to safely operate and adjust bowling equipment.
• Ability to instruct or assist customers in the use of automatic scoring equipment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
