Job summary

This position is located in the Food and Beverage Division of the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Department, Naval Station Mayport, Florida. The purpose is to prepare dining room and party room, serve food, wines, and other alcoholic beverages, and perform cleaning functions.

Qualifications

  • Must meet minimum age requirement.
  • Skill to serve beverages and meals in the proper manner and sequence.
  • Knowledge of proper food handling techniques such as the correct side to serve from and the correct side to remove from.
  • Knowledge of the composition of all food items on the menu, whether American or Foreign; the available beverages and wines and which wines complement specific meals and their proper serving temperatures. Skill in proper table setting techniques.
  • Knowledge of simple math calculations in order to tabulate checks.
  • Ability to recognize intoxicated patrons when serving alcohol.
  • You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience.

Job description

This position is located in the Food and Beverage Division of the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Department, Naval Station Mayport, Florida. The purpose of this position is to perform work involved in preparing dining room and party room, serving food, wines, and other alcoholic beverages, and subsequent cleaning functions.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

  • Must meet minimum age requirement.
  • Skill to serve beverages and meals in the proper manner and sequence.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
