Job summary

Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV seeks a capable Maintenance Technician to operate automated bowling center equipment and a range of hand and power tools. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, repair motors and boards, and assist other team members to keep the center running smoothly.

The role requires physical stamina, strong reading/writing/mathematics skills, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate a computer, AMF 8270 machines, Qubica scoring system, lane machine, welder and a wide array of hand & power tools, etc., in order to perform job functions and assist guests.
• Complete daily checklists which may include basic preventative maintenance (clean & lube), take care of general housekeeping, machine and assembly inspections, retrieval of clean uniforms from laundry and changing of light bulbs.
• Conduct basic trouble shooting and handle machine trouble calls. Assemble, repair and conduct bench work on motors, PC boards and ball lifts. Change & inspect bowling pins. Learn the functions of the pin spotter and all related tools used to maintain and repair machine.
• Assist all other bowling center team members when needed. Interact with other departments (i.e. receiving dock) as required. Be pleasant, courteous and helpful to team members and guests at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of mechanic areas.
• Listen and respond to team member inquiries and instructions using a positive, clear speaking voice. Answer questions and aid provide satisfaction. Relay accurate information to team members to assist in guest satisfaction.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to the letter and without lapses or failures to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• Previous mechanical experience preferred or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing and walking, occasionally sitting, and frequently reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and balancing during the duration of their shift.
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds and push/pull over 100lbs frequently.
• The team member will have constant repetitive use of both hands, occasionally have repetitive use of both feet, frequent light grasping motions and firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required.
• Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
