Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar membership or eligibility.
• Experience in business or real estate litigation.
• Strong drafting of motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
• Advanced legal research and writing skills.
• Hands-on exposure to depositions.
• Familiarity with CA state and federal courts, arbitration, and hearings.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple matters and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and case strategy documents.
• Conduct legal research involving case law, statutes, regulations, and secondary sources.
• Handle discovery and assist with deposition preparation and transcript review.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and arbitration forums.
• Support settlement negotiations, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
• Collaborate with partners and attorneys on litigation and case strategy.
• Manage multiple matters, files, deadlines, hearings, and conferences.
