Job summary

Mission Recruiting in Walnut Creek, CA, seeks a Litigation Associate for a boutique civil litigation firm. The role blends in-office collaboration with a flexible hybrid schedule and hands-on experience across business disputes, construction disputes, and commercial real estate matters.

You will work with experienced litigators on diverse matters, draft pleadings, manage discovery, and prepare for mediation and trial, with mentorship and substantive courtroom exposure.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of civil litigation experience preferred.
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
• Experience with depositions, discovery, and motion practice preferred.
• Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery
• Conduct legal research and case analysis
• Prepare matters for mediation, settlement conferences, and trial
• Attend depositions and court appearances
• Assist with litigation strategy and case management
• Handle discovery and document review
• Manage multiple active litigation matters simultaneously
