Job summary

A California law firm in San Francisco is seeking a Litigation Associate with 2-6 years of complex general litigation experience to join its office. The candidate will handle matters through all phases of litigation and collaborate closely with experienced litigators and trial lawyers.

This full-time position is based in San Francisco, with a hybrid schedule after 90 days: three days in the office and no more than two days remote.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active California State Bar membership.
• 2–6 years of complex general litigation experience.
• Strong research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with dispositive motions, depositions, discovery, and motion practice.
• Trial experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle matters through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, law and motion practice, mediation, hearings, trial preparation, and post-trial proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery; conduct legal research.
• Argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions; participate in depositions and hearings.
• Assist with mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
