Job summary

Rebel Hotel Company is seeking an Operations Manager for an upscale boutique hotel in Manhattan, NY. The role reports to the Director of Operations and focuses on supervising department teams, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining profitability during daily operations.

The ideal candidate has strong supervisory experience in rooms, a willingness to work across departments, and the ability to handle stress and complex information with professional discretion.

Qualifications

• Four-year progressive supervisory experience in the Rooms Department at a Hotel; or a four-year college degree and at least two-year supervisory experience; or a two-year college degree and at least three-years experience in Rooms.
• Previous supervisory experience in a unionized New York City hotel is required.
• Must be proficient in Windows Operating Systems.
• Ability to evaluate courses of action quickly and stay composed under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills with guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Supervise back-of-house operating departments in the absence of GM and Director of Operations.
• Assist in achieving hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, and guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Desk, Engineering, Security and Banquets to ensure smooth hotel operations.
• Prepare and review financial and operational reports for the Corporate Office.
• Participate in required MOD coverage and training sessions.
