Job summary

Insight Global is hiring on behalf of our client for a hands-on General Manager to lead the operations of a 64-room boutique hotel in Downtown Manhattan. You will own guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, facilities, vendor management, team leadership, budgeting, and overall property performance.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, charismatic, and able to drive improvements, build SOPs, and foster an exceptional guest experience across all touchpoints.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams within hospitality or operations.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
• Experience with hotel technology platforms and PMS.
• Demonstrated vendor management and contract negotiation.
• Ability to build relationships and drive buy-in.
• Experience overseeing building operations and maintenance coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of a 64-room boutique hotel in Downtown Manhattan.
• Lead and develop Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Maintenance teams.
• Foster accountability, service excellence, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Own guest satisfaction and uphold high-quality guest experiences.
• Manage vendors, utilities, waste services, and external partners.
• Negotiate pricing and build relationships with service vendors.
• Coordinate operational needs with commercial tenants and partners in the building.
• Monitor property condition and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Support procurement and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting and P&L responsibilities.
• Develop SOPs, handbooks, training programs, and process documentation.
• Serve as on-call escalation point for operational issues outside hours.
• Report to senior leadership with operational and financial updates.
