Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead operations for a 64-room boutique hotel in Downtown Manhattan. The role involves full ownership of guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, facilities, vendor management, team leadership, budgeting, and overall performance.

The GM will build strong operational foundations, drive guest satisfaction, implement SOPs, and partner with Finance on budgeting and P&L.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in hospitality, accommodations, facilities, or operational environments.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
• Familiarity with Salto access management systems.
• Working knowledge of hotel technology platforms and PMS (Guesty, Mews).
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence others, and create team buy-in.
• Experience overseeing building operations, facilities, maintenance coordination, or property management.
• Vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• High energy, ownership, and impact orientation.
• Strong business acumen with budgets and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of a 64-room boutique hotel in Downtown Manhattan.
• Lead and develop Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Maintenance teams.
• Foster accountability, service excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Own guest satisfaction and ensure high-quality experiences across touchpoints.
• Manage vendors, suppliers, utilities, and external partners.
• Negotiate pricing and build relationships with service providers.
• Coordinate operations with commercial tenants and building partners.
• Monitor property condition and implement preventative maintenance.
