Job summary

SMS Data Products Group, Inc. seeks an experienced IT professional to operate and manage the enterprise boundary management server, analyze firewall reports, and implement solutions to improve network performance.

The role requires 5+ years of IT experience with firewall and Unix/Linux expertise, Windows Server administration, and DoD security clearance eligibility. Training and on-site support are available for national deployments.

Qualifications

• B.S. in related field and 5+ years IT experience or 7+ years IT experience.
• Firewall and Unix/Linux experience.
• Ability to implement and enforce local network usage policies and procedures.
• Experience with Windows Server in Host/Compute Environments and server images.
• Experience with storage solutions, high availability, DNS, DHCP, network connectivity, and remote access.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage enterprise boundary management server.
• Analyze firewall reports/logs and engineer solutions for performance issues.
• Operate security devices remotely and locally.
• Create UNIX scripts to meet task-specific requirements.
• Document and track outages, trouble calls, and intrusions.
