Job summary

Silgan in Kentucky is seeking an at- factory line worker to inspect and pack bottles, assist in scrap removal and grinding, and operate line equipment as required. The role includes labeling, carton unitization, and maintaining housekeeping standards on the line.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Must be dependable with good attendance and able to read bottle specifications.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment.
• Understand and adhere to Silgan safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor ware for quality defects and inform operator or coordinator.
• Pack at standard rate.
• Operate a punch.
• Load conveyors and flamers.
• Practice housekeeping on assigned lines and around machines.
• Remove scrap from around the line.
• Grind and pull plastic as needed.
• Make and unitize cartons as assigned.
• Initial and date box labels.
• Make out unit tickets.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
