Job summary

Silgan Plastics Corporation seeks a dedicated Inspector to ensure packaging quality and safety on the production line in Kentucky. You will classify defects, verify parameters, and perform necessary rework while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

You will collaborate with Operators to address issues, follow all safety policies, and assist during line start-ups and maintenance as required. The role emphasizes teamwork and consistent adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Experience inspecting packaging quality and verifying specifications sheets.

Responsibilities

• Identify and classify defects: critical, major, minor.
• Alert Operators to defects and assist in addressing them.
• Verify packaging parameters against specifications and perform rework as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and support housekeeping and line housekeeping duties.
• Assist Maintenance and Operations during start-up, jams, and down lines while following safety rules.
