Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Consultant, Inventory Optimization to lead customer-focused projects that improve inventory management and workflow efficiency. The role requires travel to hospitals in the Eastern Massachusetts region to perform onsite assessments and implement improvements that enhance supply chain performance.

You will partner with customers and internal teams, present findings, and support ongoing optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• 2-8 years of experience, preferred.
• Ability to work independently with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and strong problem-solving skills
• Strong supply chain material and/or inventory management and customer facing experience, preferred.
• Proficient in data analytics tools, including Excel (Pivot Tables)
• Experience with Tableau, preferred.
• Experience with Workday and Epic, preferred.
• Experience working within inventory management systems and other databases, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leading customer-focused optimization projects to improve inventory management.
• Travel to hospitals across Eastern Massachusetts to support initiatives.
• Perform onsite assessments, reconcile inventory, and implement process improvements.
• Cultivate relationships to ensure successful customer experience and long-term engagement.
• Articulate benefits and adoption strategies to customer's supply chains to drive efficiency.
• Prepare customer presentations and internal account planning.
• Advocate for customers to resolve issues promptly while following policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful installation and adoption.
• Conduct reporting via Excel and Cardinal Health optimization tools.
