Job summary

Atlas Search client in real estate private credit seeks a Director of Fund Accounting to lead accounting and reporting for real estate credit investment vehicles. Based in Boston, with regular travel to New York, you will oversee closed-end funds, separate accounts, feeders, and co-investment structures.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of progressive accounting/finance experience in real estate credit or private credit fund accounting
• Experience leading teams and coordinating with third-party administrators
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Strong US GAAP knowledge, including disclosures and reporting

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and financial reporting for real estate credit vehicles under US GAAP
• Manage close calendars and coordinate with internal teams and external providers for deadlines
• Review financial statements, footnotes, consolidations, and journal entries
• Oversee accounting for loan originations, fundings, repayments, and restructurings
• Coordinate annual audits and tax compliance for REIT matters and cross-border investor issues
• Prepare investor reporting and monitor liquidity, capital calls, and distributions
• Mentor accounting staff and supervise administrator performance
