Qualifications

• GS-7 requires 1 year specialized experience at the next lower grade level; GS-9 requires higher education or experience.

Responsibilities

• Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture law and regulations.
• Enforcing the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
• Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances.
• Determining admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States.
• Preventing illegal entry and the smuggling of contraband.
