Job summary

Qualifications

• GS-5 requires either 3 years general experience or a 4-year degree, or a combination.
• GS-7 requires 1 year specialized experience or equivalent education.
• GS-9 requires 1 year specialized experience or advanced education; military or law enforcement background may count.

Responsibilities

• Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws.
• Inspect individuals and conveyances.
• Determine admissibility of entrants into the United States.
• Prevent smuggling and the illegal entry of people and prohibited goods.
