Qualifications

• 1 year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge and stay calm under stress.
• Bachelor’s degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field.
• Combination of general work experience and college education may be substituted as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration or customs violations and inspect documents.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Interpret and follow tracks, marks, and other evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal areas using diverse assets.
