Qualifications

• Candidates must meet minimum qualification criteria for the GL-5/7/9/11 levels.
• Possess knowledge of immigration and national law as applicable to LEO roles.
• Demonstrate ability to apply force policies and firearms knowledge where required.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of immigration/customs violations and inspect documents.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Interpret tracks, marks and evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city and transportation checks.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waters using various assets.
