Qualifications

• One year of general work experience that demonstrates the ability to learn regulations and take charge in stressful situations.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree.
• Combination of general work experience and education is acceptable if documented.

Responsibilities

• Detect individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspect documents.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers using surveillance and field tactics.
• Interpret evidence of illegal entry and conduct checks of farms, buildings, traffic, and transportation.
• Patrol borders using vehicles, horses, vessels, and off-road assets to accomplish CBP missions.
• Maintain readiness to deploy at priority duty locations across the United States.
