Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring full-time Border Patrol Agents at entry and mid levels across multiple duty locations.

The role supports the agency's mission to enforce immigration and customs laws while protecting the United States, with base pay and strong federal benefits including Thrift Savings Plan and paid leave. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree.
• Combination of general work experience and education may qualify for theGL-5/7/9/11 levels.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens near borders using surveillance
• Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using government assets to accomplish CBP mission

Education
