Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPA) at full-time, entry and mid-level career tracks. Education or prior experience in public safety may qualify.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or education per GL-5 requirements.
• Education substitution allowed: bachelor’s degree can qualify.
• Combination of experience and education may apply as determined by review of transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of immigration and customs violations.
• Inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations and apprehend illegals near borders.
• Patrol the border and coastal areas using various government assets.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city and transportation checks as assigned.
