Qualifications

• One year of general work experience showing ability to take charge, make sound decisions and stay composed in stressful situations.
• Bachelor's degree or successful four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
• Combination of general work experience and college education can qualify you.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of immigration and customs violations.
• Inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and physical evidence of illegal entry.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using various assets.
