U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPAs) across multiple duty locations in the United States.

The BPA role is part of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) profession, offering a strong base pay, comprehensive federal benefits, and career stability. New BPAs may receive recruitment incentives up to $20,000 and retention incentives up to $30,000, with ongoing training and advancement opportunities within CBP.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience showing ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and remain composed in stressful situations.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• A combination of general work experience AND college education as evidenced by your resume and transcripts.

Responsabilités

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night-vision equipment.
• Interpreting tracks, marks, and physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using a variety of government assets.
