U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking Border Patrol Agents (BPA) at entry and mid-level career levels. The agency offers competitive base pay, strong federal benefits, job stability, and incentives, with duty locations across the United States.

Positions are full-time; education or prior general/public safety experience may qualify. Additional recruitment/retention incentives may be available. This is a federal law enforcement opportunity within the LEO profession.

Competenze

• Experience or education: one year general work experience or a bachelor's degree or combination thereof.
• Ability to learn regulations, methods, and techniques through training and on-the-job instruction.
• Ability to gather concise information through questioning, observation, and document examination.

Mansioni

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night-vision tools.
• Interpreting tracks and evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband; performing farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using government assets to fulfill CBP mission.
