U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) invites applications for Border Patrol Agent (BPA). As a BPA you will join the Federal Law Enforcement Officer cadre and handle duties at or near U.S.

borders, including screening people, inspecting documents, and patrolling with a variety of assets. CBP offers competitive base pay at GL levels, comprehensive benefits, and recruitment/retention incentives up to $20,000 initially, with potential for up to $30,000 additional; duty locations span numerous

Competenze

• One year of general work experience demonstrating leadership, decision making and composure in stressful situations.
• Bachelor’s degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor’s degree.
• A combination of general work experience and education may qualify for higher grades.

Mansioni

• Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration or customs violations and inspect documents.
• Pursue, apprehend, or deter undocumented individuals and smugglers near borders using a range of assets.
• Perform checks (farm, building, traffic, city, transportation) and patrol duties to support CBP missions.
