U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPA) in full-time positions across the United States. The role enforces immigration and border laws, performs inspections, and patrols diverse environments using various assets.

Training at the Border Patrol Academy follows selection, with competitive pay and federal benefits. Qualifications include US citizenship and eligibility for GL-5/7/9/11 levels based on experience and education, plus readiness for rigorous physical

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating the ability to take charge and make sound decisions in stressful situations.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study from an accredited college or university.
• Combination of general work experience AND college education may qualify for certain grade levels.

Responsabilités

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and custom laws and inspecting documents and possessions.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and covert methods.
• Interpreting tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using diverse government assets.
